- Year — cab/chassis changes mid-generation; do not assume “close enough.”
- Make & model — F-150 vs F-250, Tacoma vs Tundra, Wrangler vs Gladiator, etc.
- Drive / cab / bed — 4WD, crew cab, bed length, and trim often change suspension and bumper kits.
- Engine / powertrain — exhaust, intake, and some drivetrain parts are engine-specific.
